Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club envisions a future in which success is within reach of every child in the St. Louis region. Founded on the site of historic Sportsman’s Park, the club serves more than 3,500 children for just $25 a year in annual fees. The new facility had to be a safe, inspiring and functional space for kids to stretch themselves mentally and physically.  In addition to gym and pool, the facility needed to cost effectively accommodate collaborative spaces for learning, art, child care, offices, a dental clinic and vision center. Working closely with the client, contractors and community representatives, Arcturis designed an open, welcoming space that invited neighbors and members to own it as a part of their community.
