Openness to innovation is an important part of the educational environment at Whitfield School, a small college-preparatory learning community in St. Louis.In 2004, Whitfield turned to Arcturis to incorporate their emphasis on technology and collaboration into the design of Intellectual Commons of Piper Courtyard. Our team used our relationship based design process to understand the learning experience Whitfield fosters. The finished courtyard is an outdoor extension of their culture incorporating full wifi access along with open spaces and seating areas in an intimate, sun dappled landscape.
