Edward Jones Facilities & Technology Services
Nationwide

Edward Jones, one of the largest investment firms in the world, has home offices in St. Louis, Missouri and Tempe, Arizona in the United States as well as offices in Canada and the United Kingdom. There are over 9,000 branch office locations in the United States and a total of over 9,700 branches globally.

Challenge:
Edward Jones requested ways to manage the day-to-day needs of associate relocation and facilities maintenance while developing a long range plan to accommodate their growth.

Solution:
During our partnership, which began in 1989, Arcturis and the Edward Jones facilities planning group have established three core teams to coordinate to the immediate needs of the Associates and the long term goals of facilities.

The on-site team responds to associates with relocation or restacking needs and develops and implements the move plans to minimize staff disruption. The on-site team also manages event planning and room reservations.
The projects division is responsible for master planning, facilities forecasting, quarterly monitoring of assets, building operations, preventative maintenance forecasting, yearly real estate analysis, design and implementation of all architectural and interior projects as well as the creation of furniture and finish standards. This team works in conjunction with Edward Jones project management and the on-site team to assure projects meet the schedule and budget.

Arcturis’ technology team integrates the efforts of the on-site team into Archibus, a computer-aided facilities management program that attaches a database to the client’s AutoCad documentation in order to track and manage information regarding square footage, charge-backs, leases, employee names, furniture and equipment, computers and telephone/data for all locations.

Benefit:
The approach allows the Edward Jones facilities department to align their company’s business strategies with their people, real estate, facilities, workplace and technology to achieve clear quantifiable results.
