This building was initially designed as a FedEx distribution hub and then was converted to a call center. Arcturis’ challenge was to modify the facility that had undergone multiple renovations and create an environment to serve as the main data center for Scottrade’s Midwest operations. The building was developed with increased structural criteria to provide protection from natural disaster and included fully-grouted concrete block exterior walls. Arcturis created a new building entrance with ADA accessibility, new mechanical systems to support the data center and performed significant upgrades to the power distribution with full generation back-up and a UPS system.
