Regional Justice Information Service (REJIS) is a regional data processing center serving governmental agencies in the greater St. Louis area. The building is a 8,651 sq. ft. N+1 Type facility that is hardened for seismic, high wind and blast. What makes this project unique is its contemporary expression with simple, vernacular materials in a historic neighborhood of the Central West End. Arcturis had the challenge of designing a facility that met REJIS’ programmatic needs as well as having a responsive design to the community and site. In addition, Arcturis was charged with integrating renovations within the existing building for a new tenant, lobby upgrades, HVAC upgrades and first floor renovations for a training area.
