Arcturis has been engaged by the Urban Street Group to aid in the redevelopment of the vacant Crestwood Mall into a town center for the surrounding community. In response, Arcturis is developing site design work for improved placemaking and stormwater management in addition to architectural services. A critical component of the Master Plan is the use of stormwater bio-detention and bioswale areas to help define the green space for the new development.
In addition to landscape and architectural services, Arcturis has led the effort to create a new brand identity for the development. Our design team worked with the client to understand the image they wanted the new development to communicate, and used those conversations to develop a vision for how the project could be branded accordingly. Using precedent imagery and experimenting with different combinations of names and font styles, the team honed in on a brand image that would be distinct to this project and its context.
Ultimately, the development was named “The Crest,” and a brand package was created that communicates what will become a unique mixed-use retail center that provides residential housing, service retail, entertainment retail, and sustainable green spaces that will allow for a vibrant community to come together to shop, live, play and thrive.
