FORTUNE 100 CLIENT TECHNOLOGY HUB

01_Lobby.jpg

A Fortune 100 client asked Arcturis to transform a 4-story, 227,000 SF, call center into a corporate campus hub. Located in a suburban environment, the space needed to be compelling enough to attract talent and compete with edgier urban workspaces. Arcturis developed the concept of creating a micro-city within the campus footprint that was complete with social spaces, intuitive circulation, and flexible workspaces to achieve this goal.

Located in North St. Louis County and originally built as a 4-story call center, the existing building required an extensive redesign in order to achieve client needs. The goals for the redesign were focused on the user experience. The new spaces were activated to fit their agile work style and exude the ‘cool’ factor that would help to attract and retain talent. Social ‘destinations’ were planned into the design to give people places to gather and collaborate for both work and play.

Change Management was an ongoing part of our relationship with this corporate client and continued with the Technology Hub. During the planning stages, we worked directly with teams to gather data and communicate solutions through surveys, focus groups, and interactive exercises. We worked to ensure that project goals were clearly communicated and distributed to the teams who would be affected throughout the planning and the construction. Beyond meeting the functional requirements, understanding the culture of this technology group was vital to the success of the design.
