manchester streetscape - brentwood

The City of Brentwood partnered with Arcturis to develop the Manchester Road Streetscape project, aimed at improving the functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability of this key state highway.

Long overlooked, the south side of Brentwood has often been seen as a forgotten corridor. To help revitalize the area and promote economic activity, Arcturis led the design of placemaking elements for this major infrastructure initiative. Working closely with roadway engineers, they created a comprehensive streetscape plan for the 1.5-mile corridor.

In addition to civic identity signage, the plan featured gateway markers, street trees, lighting, landscaping, and street furniture. Enhancements were also designed for a roadway bridge, including lighting, decorative railings, and identity graphics. Sustainable features such as bio-retention areas and native plantings were incorporated to support environmental goals.
