9 Mile Garden is an outdoor family-friendly entertainment district located in Affton, MO. The venue welcomes food trucks on a rotating basis and is home to The Canteen, a “modern drafthouse.” The garden has weekly concerts, outdoor movie screenings along with special events such as live music, cooking and eating contests, car shows, and vendor markets.   

Arcturis was engaged to design the lighting for the garden. The lighting enhances the patron experience by creating a feeling of warmth, community, and festiveness. As the day transitions to evening the space will look spectacular as the sun sets, the string lights twinkle, sail canopies glow, tree lights turn on, and movie projector starts running. While designed to maximize the experience of 9 Mile Garden, the thoughtful design minimizes light pollution to the surrounding neighborhoods. 

Lighting services included design concepting, fixture selection and specification, lighting controls, bid documents, details, mock-ups, and photometric studies.
