The armory

After years of vacancy left the National Guard Armory in a state of disrepair, Arcturis partnered with Green Street St. Louis to revitalize this historic midtown St. Louis landmark. The core and shell renovation focused on preserving the building’s iconic facade while modernizing its infrastructure. Updates included a new roof, upgraded systems, and improved circulation to meet ADA accessibility and energy standards.

Arcturis’ architectural design ensured the Armory’s historic character was maintained while transforming it into a functional and adaptable space for future use. This work laid the foundation for the Armory’s reintegration into the growing midtown area, connecting it to nearby destinations like the Cortex Innovation District and The Foundry STL. To complement its revival, Arcturis created a new brand identity and proposed marketing material for the iconic building. The resulting logo mark is a blend between the historic art-deco inspired architecture of the building with a modern yet minimal typeface.
