After creating a master plan with Arturis’ Planning group, The Loop District in Columbia, Missouri engaged the Graphic and Brand Design group to implement one of the plan’s goals, to create identity in a low cost but impactful manner. Using The Loop’s brand identity, Arcturis developed creative placemaking ideas utilizing a graphic kit of parts to inspire, engage, and inform community members of key locations within The Loop. Arcturis hosted work sessions with an engaged stakeholder committee to identify the needs and aspirations for the district community. A graphic vocabulary, placemaking concepts, and location strategy were developed and documented into a kit of parts guidelines. The Loop uses these guidelines to implement graphic projects in its efforts to become a distinct and dynamic district.
