Located along the I-70 Business Loop in Columbia, MO, The Loop is home to numerous businesses and institutions. Arcturis helped to create a cohesive identity for The Loop district through branding, wayfinding and signage, signature landscaping, and re-designing several placemaking focus areas to unite both ends of the corridor. Large stormwater bio-detention basins were proposed on the larger sites. Curbside biodetention basins were created to fill the need for stormwater management in locations where surface area was at a premium. These practices will help alleviate stormwater concerns for the overall Loop corridor watershed, which is proposed to convert to a stormwater banking system with a 10-15 year build-out vision. The project team created a full report detailing all enhancements, programming, and implementation.
