University of MISSOURI - ST. LOUIS

Earmarked for future demolition, Arcturis assessed existing space utilization in four specific north and south campus buildings housing various campus departments. Consisting of approximately 150,000 SF, the purpose of this assessment is to propose restacking options to support the vacation of Bellerive Hall, Music Building, Normandie Hall and the Postal Services building.

After conducting meetings with the University, the team toured the buildings slated for demolition and toured and evaluated several existing buildings identified to have available space for departmental relocation. With this information, the team developed a series of preliminary space plans illustrating current occupancy/availability, building stacking diagram and departmental block diagrams. Once UMSL reviewed the proposed restack options, the team revised the plans based on their input and developed conceptual level budgeting of the refined space plans. Arcturis then reviewed the final plans with the University, including suggesting move sequencing at the departmental level and demolition and construction phasing plans.
